We cannot ignore it: the textile industry is changing. For example, the UPV obligation will be active in the Netherlands as of July 1, 2023 and there are ambitious goals for the future*. And that's a good thing. In the Netherlands alone, we throw away approximately 554 kilotons (!) of textiles every year. Textiles that can be given a second life.
Vodde is more than happy to take on this circular challenge. With extensive experience in spinning yarn made from recycled textiles, we help other brands and companies to incorporate recycled material into their end products and to clean up their own textile waste.
In short, this is how we work
It's actually very simple. We supply you with our unique Vodde yarn, made from 100% recycled textiles. You can also hand in your own textile waste to us, from which we spin new yarn. Together with our expert partner in Southern Europe, we return old rags to the cotton fiber and spin new yarn from this pulp. In our knitting center in Tilburg, located next to the TextielMuseum, we carefully test the yarn for quality. Did the yarn pass all tests? We will then supply you with the circular Vodde yarn and you can get started yourself - in your own chain.
