We can't ignore it: the textile industry is changing. For example, in the Netherlands, the UPV obligation will be active as of 1 July 2023 and there are ambitious targets for the future*. And that's a good thing. In the Netherlands alone, we throw away around 554 kilotons (!) of textiles every year. Textiles that can be given a second life.
Vodde is more than happy to take on this circular challenge. With extensive experience in spinning yarn made from recycled textiles, we help other brands and companies to incorporate recycled material into their end product and to clean up their own textile waste.
In short, this is how we work:
It's actually very simple. We supply you with our unique Rag yarn, made from 100% recycled textiles. You can also hand in your own textile waste, from which we spin new yarn. Together with our professional partner in Southern Europe, we return old rags to the cotton fibre and spin new yarn from this pulp. In our knitting centre in Tilburg, located next to the TextielMuseum, we carefully test the yarn for quality. Has the yarn passed all tests? Then we supply you with the circular Rag yarn and you can get started yourself - in your own chain.
