TILBURG - From rag to sock. You take a thousand kilos of old uniforms, grind them, add old fishing nets or PET bottles, process them into yarn and run them through the sock machines. And voilà: that is roughly the recipe for a thoroughly sustainable Tilburg sock. “You can make approximately 16,000 pairs of socks from a thousand kilos of textile waste,” says Patrick Welp.
